Being (chronically) bloated is a sign of intestinal dysbiosis.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) we call bloating a symptom of Spleen Qi deficiency.

The Spleen in Chinese Medicine is responsible for the entire digestive function.

Having enough Qi = energy translates not only to healthy digestion, but also muscle strength, blood(vessel) health, supporting mental function (focus & clear thinking), energy & immunity.

Here is the exact protocol I gave to one of my clients:

- activated charcoal 1-3x 500mg a day on empty stomach

- eat more orange foods: cooked or steamed carrots, squashes, pumpkin, parsnip, turnip, sweet potato, yam

- easy digest protein: egg yolk (raw), white fish, broth, sardines, lamb, beef, liver, heart, collagen, seafood like shrimp, mussles

- fats: a little butter, coconut oil, egg yolk

- fruit: cooked/stewed cherry, peach, banana, apple/pear (when in season)

- vegetables and spices: Onion, leek, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, fennel, garlic and nutmeg.

Avoid: too much raw food, cold food, cold water and drinks, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, too many stimulants (includes phone use).
