Below is the question I’ve received for Q&A Friday:

‘’Hey Dobrynja, hope you are doing great!

Could you tell me how to prepare for a longer period fast (3+ days), and what should I do when I am finishing my fast? How do I go back to eating normally? Any food recommendations?’’

So to start with, to prepare for a longer term fast - you should be able to fast for 1,2, and 3 days without any major issues. Some people get sick, because they tap in the tissues that store toxins, which are liberated during a fast.

So step one would be to have multiple short term fasts.

To prep for a longer fast of more than 3 days I recommend getting a chill environment in or close to nature.

Grounding

Sun

Pure water

River, lake or ocean/sea

Pure air

Low EMF

This is the most optimal environment to live in, but it is the only environment that will support a long-term fast. You simply cannot fast longer periods of time in an EMF cage called an appartment. It doesnt work like that.

Tools you will need are pure water, salt (to salt your water), magnesium supplement (you don’t want to burn through your magnesium reserves), activated charcoal, a juicer (if you plan to do a juice fast).

So to do a longer term fast I would aim as a beginner for 5 days and no more than 7 days.

This is btw not medical advice and you should get at least some guidance before fasting.

There are also a myriad of health contra indications of who should not fast.

to break a fast is not easy and it is best you use your intuition. I recommend always breaking a fast with low sugar fruits, or a broth, or a carrot salad. But always raw food except for the broth*
